The high-performance GH series has so far only been available for flat plate cutting, but from 2019, as a result of HSG's development, it will be available in a combined version that can cut tubes and end sections in addition to flat plate. This new GHE-35HQ laser cutter is the top of the range in every respect. The minimum available fibre laser power is 6kW, capable of cutting carbon steel up to 25mm thick. The machine comes with a pallet changer, so 2 tables are standard, which can be operated in automatic or manual mode. The working area can be 3000x1500mm, 4000x2000mm, 6000x2000mm or 8000x2500mm. The most interesting feature of the machine is the rotary unit, which is unique among the combined laser cutters: the chuck can accommodate tubes up to 325mm diameter and end sections up to 220x220mm. The chuck is pneumatic and the centering is automatic, so that the inserted section is ready for laser cutting in no time.
The HSG quality is also evident on this workbench, with no unpleasant resonances affecting quality even at the highest speeds and when cutting small objects. As with all frames, it undergoes 4-step stress relieving and 600C° heat treatment, guaranteeing the accuracy of the frame for 20 years. This is complemented by a split dust extraction system that achieves good ventilation and an almost completely smoke-free effect.
Robust and precise quality is guaranteed by the main parts and components incorporated. The rack and pinion CNC system is driven by double servo motors (Panasonic). Laser head under 2kW WSX, over 2kW German Precitec. The "heart" of the laser machine is the solid-state laser source made by German IPG, a market leading brand. The beam driven by the motors is cast aluminium with a wall thickness of 20mm, 50% lighter than conventional steel beams and capable of up to 2G acceleration.
The machine is controlled by cutting software that has a user-friendly interface for industrial applications. It comes with two cutting software: a 2D one for cutting flat plates and a 3D one for cutting tubes and other sections. A user-friendly interface in English with many useful features: plate positioning, micro-joint and bridge use, automatic or manual placement of entry and exit points, pre-punching support, curve smoothing, common line removal, full drawing toolbar, grouping, small object removal, common cut line programming, simulation of cutting sequence on screen, etc.
35Q: Tubes from 20mm to 325mm, end sections from 20x20mm to 230x230mm.
XLASE's largest rotary unit, the 35Q has a unique capacity to extend the diameter of laser-cut 6m sections to extreme diameters. For tubes up to 325mm diameter and for end sections up to 230x230mm profile size can be accommodated. The chuck loading system has also been improved and is now pneumatic. This not only ensures faster section clamping, but also automatic centring.
The G3015HE-35HQ has a semi-open enclosure and complies with the requirements of MSZ EU 60825-1 for laser products, but can also be supplied with a full enclosure option to meet specific health and safety requirements.
A 20 mm thick graphite plate covers the bottom of the table to protect it from the high force of swarf that is ejected during cutting.
